Corporate Training Budget EOFY

Do you have training budget left coming into the End of Financial Year (EOFY) that you need to use or lose?

Corporates, Councils and Government Departments often have set professional development coaching and training budgets each year. Unlike small businesses, these amounts don’t simply rollover to be used next year. In fact, often it’s a case of if you don’t use it, you lose it – not just for the year you’re leaving, but for coming years too! This is why many team leaders like to utilise any remaining EOFY Budget before the opportunity it can create disappears forever!

Do not spend EOFY budget just for the sake of it!

Especially in a tough economic environment it’s not the time to be frivolous with your spending! However, if the reason you have executive coaching, professional development or training budget available is because you were too busy fighting fires, being reactive or just getting things done, then don’t let the opportunity go to waste. If you had good intentions, but didn’t quite get them to happen – you’ve got a last chance to get it organised now! Or maybe the reasons you left the budget could be addressed through coaching or training.

But we don’t have time left before EOFY to set-up a coaching or training program for our team?!

The good news is for most this isn’t an issue. Many corporates, Government Departments and Councils operate on an accrual accounting system. Therefore a tax invoice only needs to be issued by the supplier and entered into your ‘system’ for the expenditure to be recorded in the current financial year. Even in cash accounting, or to take advantage of End of Financial Year (EOFY) sales, you may need to also pay in the current financial year. However, please check with your internal policies and accounting or internal finance team if it is okay to prepay for services such as a training not yet delivered. You may even be able to get a sneaky session delivered prior to EOFY if you really need to!

Let us help you decide what coaching and corporate training may work best for your team based on the challenges or opportunities you have

Please let us know what your needs are, and ideally jump on a free 15 minute Click and Clarity session, and we can agree your needs, and what methods may be best to achieve them. This will enable a high level proposal to be turned around quickly. We can adjust as needed to get to Tax Invoice stage, and then any finer details can be agreed closer to delivery (especially if that won’t be until the next quarter).

Our corporate training budget isn’t big or we want some quick wins before doing more training and development later

No problem at all! We can offer pre-recorded training sessions that we can also offer to others, or create a quick live webinar for your team. The higher the budget the more we can offer tailoring, exclusively designed content for your organisation, facilitated sessions, extended access, access to more than the initial group of participants, one on one Executive Coaching and live on-site or off-site solutions.

DISC, Whole Brain® Thinking and HBDI® profiles

In addition to executive coaching and team training, our Founder and Chief Training Officer Jane Tweedy, is DISC accredited and a Herrmann Certified Practitioner (Whole Brain® Thinking and HBDI® Profiles). Although we can offer DISC which is a popular behavioural profiling tool in the corporate world, we prefer to offer HBDI® Profiles, as we are very much of the view what you believe leads to what you think, impacting how you feel, and then how you act. Therefore the behaviour comes last.

If you can think differently about a scenario, you can feel and act differently in the same situation. For instance, why does one person get angry when someone cuts them off in traffic, while someone else just shrugs and forgets about it? The driver who cut you off, probably doesn’t think twice about the event, so why do you need to? If it won’t help you to be angry, why be angry? This we can explore through Thought Monitoring.

Did you know certain thinking types will tend to be on time, every time, whereas others will rarely be on time? By understanding how you think, you can make changes to the way you think, how you feel and what you do! Therefore identifying your thinking patterns, and the consequences and benefits that come with that thinking, and the thinking of others can help you and your team across all areas of work and life!

Always running late?

You may be surprised, but thinking preferences play a huge part into whether you’re ‘naturally’ on time or late. You can learn to curb nature, once you understand why you do it! This can apply to many other ‘traits’ as well.
